As of Wednesday morning, four people were in the hospital at Marshall Medical Center North with COVID-19. Marshall Medical Center South in Boaz had 13 patients with COVID-19.
According to the Alabama Department of Public Health, Marshall County has 1,140 cases of COVID-19, which resulted in nine deaths.
Also in Marshall County, 376 people were diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past 14 days.
There have been a total of 8,368 people tested in the county.
Statewide, 30,670 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19, which includes 9,000 in the last 14 days.
There have been 2,521 hospitalized since March 13.
In Alabama, more than 350,000 people have been tested and there are 15,974 presumed recoveries.
The department does not break down the numbers by city or community – just by county.

Monday afternoon, the owner of Grumpy’s Pizza and Pasta announced publicly that it had an employee who tested positive and that they were shutting down until all employees were tested.
Tuesday night, Grumpy’s announced that four negative tests had been returned and that other employees’ test results were expected later Wednesday, after the Tribune went to press.
“Prayers that we can open back safely on Thursday,” Grumpy’s owner announced.
