Arab Mayor Bob Joslin and members of the Arab City Council were scheduled to visit the new recreation center in Athens this week to get ideas and cost data to help them with planning such a facility in Arab.

During the city council’s workshop meeting last week, the proposed facility was discussed for about 30 minutes.

Councilman Mike Allen, chairman of the council’s finance committee, said an engineering firm offered to do a feasibility study, which would include engineering and architectural specs on the proposal, for about $200,000.
