The Marshall County Commission agreed in principle Thursday to adopt a tag fee resolution that would pay for school resources officers (SROs) to be put in each school of the Marshall County School System.

The one thing they didn’t agree to yet is the amount of the fee.

The commission held a special meeting Thursday morning for further discussions on the proposed tag fee. Commissioners have been discussing the matter for several weeks.

Items the commission did agree on Thursday include:

• Exemption for those 65 and older;

• Exemption for those on 100-percent Social Security disability.
