Cody Glenn Light will spend at least nearly three decades in a Louisiana state prison.

The Arab resident was sentenced to 35 years in a Louisiana state prison after pleading guilty to 10 felony counts against him. In Louisiana, certain crimes require the guilty to serve 85 percent of their time before they can be considered for release.

Because of this, Light must serve 27 years before being considered for early release.

Light, 36, of Arab, entered the guilty pleas Monday in Calcasieu Parish Circuit Court.
