As of Tuesday, there were 126 COVID positive cases in Arab, according to Mayor Bob Joslin.

“That is an increase of 26 new cases since last week,” he said. “While all of these have Arab addresses, they may not all be within the city limits.”

Joslin is urging everyone to follow the guidelines listed below “so that we can get a handle on reducing the spread of this virus.”

• Wash your hands frequently;

• Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands;

• Stay at least 6 feet apart;

• Stay at home if sick;

• Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash;

• Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects or surfaces;

• Wear a face mask.
