Arab resident Jacob Michael Couch was denied early release from prison this week by the Alabama Board of Pardons and Paroles.

Couch is serving a 10-year prison sentence for a 2019 conviction in Marshall County for distribution of a controlled substance.

He has served one year, 10 months, 21 days of that sentence in the Loxley Work Release Center in Baldwin County.

He also was convicted in 2019 in Blount County of possession or receipt of a controlled substance and sentenced to four years.
