Arab graduate is Jacksonville State Homecoming Queen

Lauren Watson, a graduate of Arab High School’s Class of 2018, was crowned Homecoming Queen at Jacksonville State University last Saturday. A junior at JSU, Lauren is majoring in nursing and is very active on campus. She is involved in the honors program, is a GO! Leader and is in the Phi Mu Sorority, as well as other organizations. Lauren, along with Mason Myrick who was the Homecoming King, was elected by the student body via an on-line election. They were declared the winners that evening and were officially recognized at halftime of the Jacksonville State football game, a 34-28 win over Mercer. Lauren was a standout basketball player at Arab High School where she scored more than 1,000 points in her career, including a school record 42 points in a single game. Lauren is the daughter of Laura Watson and Roger Watson.
