Arab Electric Cooperative’s preliminary cost for the storm damage during the Jan. 11 tornadoes is a little more than $45,000, and that will likely increase.

AEC general manager Stacey White told the board of trustees that the numbers were $42,084 for parts, supplies and labor. She said she expects another $3,200 from Corbitt Power and Light, AEC’s subcontractor.
