There’ll be Lego robots all over Arab Junior High School on Saturday.

In addition, Such and Such Food Truck will be there and will donate a percentage of their proceeds to the school. Such and Such sells BBQ pork sandwiches, nachos, burgers and more.

About a dozen teams from North and Central Alabama will be at AJHS for the FIRST Lego League (FLL) Dragon Slayers qualifier, hosted by the Arab High School robotics team, the Dragon Slayers.

Several of these teams will advance to the FIRST Lego League Alabama Championship in January.

“FLL is the most accessible, guided, global robotics competition, helping students and teachers to build a better future together, according to FLL Alabama program delivery partner Drew Whisenant. “The program is built around theme-based challenges to engage children ages 9 to 14 in research, problem solving, coding and engineering.”
