AHS Cross Country

While driving down Main Street Friday afternoon Cristal Ditto Sierra saw several young men and women running/training. They are members of the Arab High School cross country team.

She’s noticed them before but didn’t really think anything of it.

That is, until she was headed back home.

After doing a quick errand she headed back to Main Street to go home.

When she arrived at an intersection, Ditto-Sierra immediately noticed two of the young men standing with their arms behind their backs.

“At first I thought what a strange pose, but then quickly realized that there was a funeral procession in progress,” Ditto-Sierra said. “These two had stopped their training to pay their respects to this person as they passed.”

That touched her.

At this point, this Tribune site is really more like an Arab school newspaper with stories that change once every three or four weeks. Why even bother?
