Hello, from the Arab Senior Center!
We sure have had fun in February with all of our activities. Some of our highlights included bingo and penny auction games, a Valentine party, and enjoying our wonderful bluegrass band.
A huge thank you to the Arab Church of Christ for sponsoring our Valentine Breakfast Party.
If you missed this party, you really missed a treat. We had a wonderful breakfast served to us on beautifully decorated tables.
A ukulele group called the “Ukesters” played love songs, and they were so entertaining! Also, the Arab Junior Civitan Club sent us socks and Valentine candy treats to enjoy.
Our line dancing practice has now moved to the afternoons, every Tuesday at 1 and Thursday at 2.
We have new teachers helping out, as Diane Fowler has health issues, which keep her from coming. We love and appreciate her dedication over the years very much.
New dancers are always welcomed, even beginners. Everyone has such a good time learning and dancing together.
We are looking forward to more activities in March.
On St. Patrick’s Day (March 17) everyone will wear green to celebrate.
We also will have Bluegrass on the second and fourth Thursday, Bunko on the third Thursday, and Gospel singing every Tuesday morning at 9:15.
The VITA group is currently doing income taxes in our basement. This is a great free service to our community and is open to all ages.
They are open from 8 to 12 on Wednesday and Thursday, first come first serve.
Our calendars are posted on social media or can be picked up at the Senior Center. As always, we would love for you to join us.
